Vehicles

Cars and bikes and things that go.

FJR1300A. This seemed like the ideal replacement for the 900 Diversion. And it pretty much is, except for not having as much luggage, the catch on the cubby hole broke just after a thousand miles and the grab rail and rack plastic is easily scratched. But *apart* from that... Oh and the cost of the insurance. The bike is a Yamaha 900 Diversion (or XJ900S if you prefer) and this picture was taken in early February 1996, just a couple of days after I bought it. Sadly the dealer I bought it from didn't have any covers in stock at the time. When I first rode it, it wasn't snowing when I left. Instead it was hiding half way along the M4. Not ideal first ride weather for a brand new bike! The Range Rover is a, er, Range Rover. Sometimes, when a bike is your main form of transport, it is necessary to carry all sorts of stuff. In this case, a stern fender. The Daewoo Matiz. Actually rather a nice little car, despite the fact that it had done around 84,000 miles by the time I sold it. The bike again, by itself this time, in March 2001 with an additional 132l of luggage by Nonfango - an excellent investment. The exhaust was a Motad replacement for the original which had lasted around 48000 miles.
